How do such people program? Does anything they do even have any meaning to them?
I’d like to throw Goethe’s Faust into the ring. Someone being seduced by the devil while they think they’re playing the devil to do good deeds is a classic trope.
I wouldn’t be able to find the time to prepare so many meals. In Germany we usually only have a proper meal for lunch. Bread (often with a sweet spread like marmelade) or cereals for breakfast and bread with something savoury for dinner. The German word for dinner is literally “evening bread”.
Of course this can vary. I think it is more and more common for families to have the proper meal in the evening when everyone is together. And of course with guests or going out with friends you’d make something special or go to a restaurant.
It’s actually about a security position and the candidate is asking the question.
In general these things are achieved with the OAuth standard. But as far as I know it’s not supported by Lemmy.
I only got it the other way around when my wife promised to care for me 24/7 since I got disabled by Long Covid.
Design requirements are too ambiguous.
It would be nice if it was possible to describe perfectly what a program is supposed to do.
Try to automate updates as much as possible so that new security bugs get fixed quickly.
Me too. Though I’d say we can substitute any locally available video renting store with Blockbuster. So it would only be 1 point.

Yeah, and they specifically block Wine from running Roblox.
I think this depends on too many factors to give general advice. Android is very different from other Linux distros because they share almost none of the supporting libraries and software. Even the Linux Kernel they share is heavily modified.
The are many apps that are made for both Linux and Android but I think they have to be built with portability in mind for that to work. Godot for instance can make Linux, Windows, Mac OS and Android packages.
On the other side there are Sober for Roblox and the Minecraft Bedrock Launcher that use the respective Android packages and make them run on Linux. But they are specialised for Roblox and Minecraft and don’t work on all Android packages.
I like flatpaks when they come from the developer. They are often more stable, up-to-date and complete than those from OS repositories.
What I don’t like about them is when I have to fight the permissions. They’re often too tight and make integration with the rest of the OS too hard.
Compile it yourself?
Search for the community with an exclamationmark in front of it. Like this:

It might take a few seconds for your instance to download the community. You will only be able to see the newest posts. And comments and votes will only come over from the moment you subscribe.
That’s actually pretty nice. Shows you early where you wouldn’t want to apply.
Studio Ghibli was very good in portraying disgusting pigs as just that.
Mine has both and I use them both regularly.
