Only if all the communities consolidate to the same instance. Consolidation to a diverse set of instances strengthens the fediverse.

The default web interface for Lemmy does list other communities a URL was posted to (even if not crossposted), though I’m not sure how it does this. Might there be some way to tap into that system?

You mean BlahajZone, LemmyWorld, and SlrPnk? I think they’re generally pretty good. LemmyWorld has some problems due to its size and older versions of Lemmy.
Fortunately it seems a number of us steered people towards other servers like BlahajZone, LemmyWorld, and SlrPnk.

Thoughts on moving the community to dbzero? I think moving away from .ml might be a better experience for new users, and moving away from .world (largest instance, still on 19.3) would strengthen the fediverse as a whole.

Like, Reddit expects you to put two spaces on the previous line for the line break to count, but it will display a line break in the editor by simply pressing enter. So the post as it looks in the editor isn’t necessarily how the final product will look like. Does Lemmy do something similar maybe?
