Why I bought a steam deck even though I have a laptop that’s better (although a lot older) mainly because my laptop won’t work with Linux (yes including the latest drivers) because of the fucking Nvidia won’t work properly.

Although tbh I rather play games on my steam deck with potato quality just because it’s portable

One of my main problems with Linux is the obsessive amount of text things have to learn or understand it, I have to sig around online for someone who doesn’t say rtfm because the manual is extremely long and it’s usually a pretty small easy problem. Or I find someone who has the problem and no response or a response that doesn’t work in the current version. It took me a couple of days to setup my home Linux entertainment system because of these reasons.

Accessibility matters,it’s good to have proper documentation and it also good to make it accessible to everyone and not just the hardcore Linux people.

One of the things I had problems with is with my laptop turning off my external display with the lid was closed, took me a couple of days to find it was in some text file in systemd instead of idk in the power settings?

Linux is hard and it’s not user friendly. But better then Windows for me at least, mainly because Linux has more accessibility options now then windows.

In today’s society in America it is “normal” however it’s not good for society, I think it’s called something like hyper individualism, where everyone only takes care of them selfs and if they can’t there deemed “bad” it’s extremely toxic andin america it’s considered “normal”

Eh, been in that state for a while, but only really reason I’m still here is because statistically there’s (if I remember correctly) a 5% chance you will die, meaning a 95% chance you will survive and this society will not treat you kindly for attempting it, it literally ruins some remaining life. That is if all parts of your body survives. There’s a eugenics of disabled people in this country, marking it incredibly difficult to get any help or treatment.

Had to get steam deck, cheapest computer I could get that was made for Linux and gaming. My gaming laptop is more powerful but yet fucking Nvidia won’t work on it. As someone who is disabled and known people who are disabled, we don’t have the luxury of going out to eat as it is incredibly hard on us, I don’t use them but if I want to get nice food from a restaurant I really don’t have a choice besides delivery and there’s not a lot of places that do delivery without these apps (and some places hide that it’s doordash and say it’s there own)

For one of the people I knew in the past who couldn’t cook there own food because of there disabilities, they heavily relied on doordash type services and they barley ate because being disabled means your incredibly poor, but this anti human society doesn’t care about disabled people.

Not sure about that launcher as I use Projectivy launcher, but I have the ability to hide certain apps. On it, my home screen only has the apps I use, nothing else no ads no “suggestions”
