I agree 100% with you. Whatscrapp is just a proprietary user subjugating version of XMPP. I prefer to communicate using xmpp protocol because it’s federated like fediverse. You can use conversation for android
If android were GPL 3 the users would be protected from “tivoization” aka locked hardware. Too bad Google don’t want that happen
“Sure, Chromiums code is available and you can modify and redistribute it. But if you want to send your changes to the main project so that more people may benefit from it, it is ultimately Google’s decision. This is the problem with projects that are not community-run.”
Google is asshole. This shows than NOT all open source codes are free as in freedom. Stallman is right.
If you want freedom in computing use Trisquel GNU / Linux
Why would all employers make such a big deal of WFH? If I were them I’d let anyone work at home as long as they do their jobs properly I don’t care
All languages are hard if you don’t practice them
Why is this reminds me of that vegan teacher
I prefer donating money to my Lemmy instance. it really helps them pay monthly VPS bills.
Imagine using chromium, imaging using gmail
I don’t want you to know where I hide my shit
Wow Apple, a proprietary software which are known to treat users badly and enforce cencorship suddenly remove my podcast? I’m shocked!
I will never pay or use proprietary user subjugating software/ services
Pervert, cringe
Glad I deleted my gmail account, a gateway to google walled garden, years ago. Even if google put Digital Restriction Management on its shitty browser I would use Firefox and Pale moon browser. Never been a a fan of chromi-shitty-um
This is why proprietary software subjugates users. Stallman is right.
You can use ffmpeg command line with some loop (for) tricks. If you want to save some space without re converting them, use .flac or .mka container with -copy flags
Webm.red
Clipious = invidious front end
New pipe= Free Libre YouTube client with video downloader
I will continue to use ublock and let Google lose money in the process I don’t mind. In fact I’m all for it
