Sometimes I don’t put the cart in the corral…
I take it back into the store because it’s closer than the nearest corral. Or I take my bags out before I go into the parking lot and leave the cart in the lobby cart storage.

It’s a far cry from this guy’s situation, but I think I had five or six bitcoin back when I was mining in the early days. I cashed out when they were maybe $40-50 each towards a new GPU.
Sure, I could go nuts thinking about what I would do with the money now, but if I hadn’t sold at that rate, I probably would have sold at $100, or $200, or…
There’s no way in hell I would have had the discipline to “hodl” to this point, so I just get on with my life.
I’m completely self-taught when it comes to Linux, so I have some obvious gaps in my knowledge. I’ve looked for good write-ups on how Linux folders are intended for use and been unable to find a good resource. Thank you for sharing the official standard name. Reading up on it now.
I can do that too. Bonus since I sprained one at 16, I’ll just be randomly walking along when something in my ankle makes an audible pop and dislocates for just long enough for me to stumble and take another step.
I had a wrist sprain a few years back and got an X-ray. They told me my ulna was about a millimeter longer than it probably should be. I’m wondering if that’s the case for most of my joints and that’s why I creak like gammy’s favorite rocking chair
Is this some New Social Media platform problem I’m too elder millenial to understand?
Man, worst second date ever. Had no idea what I was walking into in that theater
I don’t think you realize how little would have to change for you to not be born. There were millions of sperm cells churning in your daddy’s balls. Millions of alternate instruction sets to contribute to one half of a whole person. A two-minute delay, a sneeze, the thermostat being off by a single degree could have led to the birth of a completely different person.
Damn, Jeff Vogel’s still at it? I remember scraping together chore money and putting in a mail order for Blades of Exile back in the day. I wonder if those floppies are still sitting around here somewhere.
Is Pedro Pascal generally pretty jacked? I remember him looking buff for Game of Thrones and he’s probably getting into Marvel fit for the F4 movie, but it seems like he leans more towards trim or dad bod, depending on the role. I’m thinking of Last of Us or maybe the second Kingsman movie.
I like it so that the USB C will last longer. At least in theory.
It’s more than theory in my experience. I had a OnePlus 5 and lint completely ruined the USB-C port. I could spend 10 minutes trying to dig stuff out and get the cable right for it to establish a charge before I finally gave up and upgraded. It’s why I’m not AS annoyed that the wireless charging add-on takes up the port. As long as it’s also keeping debris out of the port (and the rest of the phone continues to run well) I’ll live with it.
The phone or the OS? Hardware wise, my only gripe is the lack of wireless charging. I use an aftermarket plug to add it, but it doesn’t put the charge pad quite in the right place, so I sometimes have to put it upside down. It also means the USB-C port is always occupied. That isn’t a huge deal for me as I like to use plugs to keep dust out anyway
Software wise, I’m still running regular Android. I don’t like that there’s no Gallery app. You have to use Google Photos. That coupled with the fact that .nomedia files don’t seem to work mean that the app shows ALL photos on your phone, including some you might want to keep private.
Other than that though, I’m pretty happy with it. Just upgraded mine to 15.
I think it’s a roundabout attempt to get us to wonder what the fuck Kick is. I’m not that curious.
Yeah, I stayed with my parents for a few months while I was house hunting and being limited to Level 1 charging was challenging. I couldn’t recover a full commute’s worth of charge overnight and would start each day with progressively less charge, so I’d have to swing by a L3 charger once a week or so. Still cheaper than gas though.
No it can’t wait until Monday at 9am, no there will not be a staged roll out and multiple rounds of testing.
I hope you’re doing internal product development. Otherwise, name and shame so I can stay the hell away from your product. This is a post-Crowdstrike world.
I spent a weekend helping my buddy who graduated magna cum laude with an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree build a PC. Given a breadboard and some schematics, he could probably have created working prototypes of half of the components, but figuring out where to put the screw risers under the motherboard? Forget about it.
I’m almost tempted to turn off 2fa on my account and give it a weak password just to see what its next life becomes.
If you have the port and money for it, I’d recommend a separate drive for the second OS. Windows is kinda notorious for stomping over GRUB if you rely on partitions for your dual boot.
If you’re worried about installing to the wrong drive on accident, you can always physically disconnect the existing drive until install is complete, then plug it back in and set the boot order in the mobo config.
To clarify, the FTC is being urged to craft this regulation. They have not recently urged for this regulation. Gotta love the English language.
Imagine 12 2-liters of soda. It’s a lot.
