I don’t own a car anymore and haven’t for two years now. I walk everywhere. Around 10 miles most days through the countryside and coast from town to town.

Healthiest I’ve ever been, I can eat what I want a lot of the time too. I’ve got basically no body fat and I have a ridiculous amount of energy. I feel constantly refreshed too, before I was lethargic and overweight.

I live in the UK however in a very pedestrian orientated location where I can do this without issue. Or get a bus or train if needed. I have absolutely no idea how it would be possible in a rural area or a car centric city. I guess it wouldn’t be, and the people in charge are not willing to change.

Probably Donkey Kong Country 2. I can blaze through the game in a couple of hours and have done so a few times a week each week for about twenty years as just a fallback when I’ve got nothing else to do. Before that I used to play it just as much, but no idea how frequently - too long ago.

I’ve been playing it since 1995. I had a lot more free time back then too. So uh, maybe a good few tens of thousand hours at least? Impossible to say.

My best movie memory ever was bunking off work one tuesday morning and going to see Mad Max Fury Road. It cost basically nothing, I had two pints of beer (the cinema had a bar for this screen) and no one else was there apart from me

And I’ve noticed the general UK public have gone utterly downhill in their respect for others over the past few years. No one cares about anyone else anymore. Cinemas are ruined, shopping is a nightmare. They’re all pricks.

My daughter has this issue with others in her class - she grew up with me and the computers and games I got for her, and she was ahead of her classmates in IT from the start. Some others had never used a mouse before - at age 11.

I don’t play online games anymore, but this makes me sadly nostalgic for playing Halo 2 on the Xbox at launch back in my late teens and other games on that console. There was shit talking galore and it was amazing.

Problem is I guess now gaming is open to more people, there’s vastly more chance of those who would take it way too far

I haven’t played online since the 360 days so who knows what the experience is like now. Only have time for single player titles nowadays.

I had the native mario 64 homebrew port on my switch when 3D All Stars came out. Wide-screen, 60fps, right stick/gyro analog camera control, better models and texture packs…Nintendo had an lua script to overlay higher res UI elements in their (emulated) Mario 64 and literally nothing else.
