Its pretty easy to convert any distro to NixOS. This however is not a ship of theseus process.

TBH Ubuntu Gnome would probably also run alright, but ram increase would definitely be advised for coding. Some language servers and compilers can really eat ram almost like Google Chrome (supposedly i never used it).

I met up with some guys (and gals) from !ich_iel@feddit.org at the Chaos Communication Congress in December. They also took a group photo together that I unfortunately missed.

Some people in my local Hackerspace also use Lemmy. One of them was Admin on feddit.de before it shut down.

If you have a Hackerspace where you live, there is a good chance that some people there use Lemmy too.

edit: Hacker as in Hacker Culture or in the sense of the German Wikipedia Entry for Hacker and not in the sense of the Security Hacker
