BEANS. BEANS! THEY ARE GOOD FOR YOUR HEART

BEANS BEANS! THEY ARE GOOD FOR YOUR HEART
I feel like the API debacle made me realize I had Stockholm syndrome. I look back and realize I would write and delete comments because I would be sure I’d have another redditor debating or nitpicking something unimportant, a lot of interactions were just antagonistic. Even a good amount of content was kind of boilerplate, a formula of what was going to get the most upvotes.
If i never see a post about people complaining about karma or other meaningless internet points again, it’ll be too soon!
Thank you for everything that you do!

Lemmy reminds me in a big way of the internet in 2000s, things are still being set up and figured out. It’s going to be a while till there’s a reliable and polished experience and that’s actually a good thing. It takes time to build something great and there’s a lot of a learning curve.
Patience is a good thing to practice now and hopefully the new user base can find the great things we’ve seen with Lemmy and have some patience as things stabilize.
the iOS app experience is clean, it’s still less functional than desktop but I feel like that’s expected.
