That chess game even predates OS X, it was a tech demo that came with the NextStep OS and has barely changed since the mid nineties. At this point it would be said to see it go.

Linux has decimated Windows in the server market. It would be unthinkable for a new project to use Windows server, even Azure assumes you want to use Linux.
There are lots of industrial applications where open source has dominated the market. As the end user you might not see it, but almost all software and digital infrastructure you use has open source components.
No, its the steam app that runs on Chromium.
Never visit Europe then.
seriously, who has time to use a ping pong table at work? It’s like a decoration to remind you you’re not having fun.
It mostly works great online but Excel still feels like it’s lacking important features when it comes to writing and sharing automations.
Every day I have to use Windows at work makes me long to get home to Pop OS. It’s so much faster and cleaner. The amount of advertising windows hurls at you, even on Pro, is ridiculous.
IMO none of them are a great replacement. I’m trying Sync right now and am enjoying it. previously I used Voyager, which was really different but felt more polished than most other apps. I really hope we can get a Lemmy is fun someday.
The mystery of the something or other fault by Junji Ito.
Part of this may just be that Lemmy does not stream video through the app right? Also most Lemmy servers force very small image sizes.
It’s a reasonable increase considering recent inflation, and safe since YouTube just raised their price too. In the long run I would be worried for them since YouTube premium is a much better deal if you don’t care about Spotify’s exclusive podcasts.
I think it was only free for a limited time when you buy the car, they might have changed it since then though.
Even Toyota is doing this now. They locked features like the digital tire pressure gauge behind a paywall on their app.
Damn I don’t think I’ve seen an orly owl in like 15 years. Completely forgot about this meme.
The difference in HDMI cables is entirely dependent on which version of HDMi hey are compliant with, it has nothing to do with using gold or any other kind of material. A digital signal is either readable or unreadable with no in-between. The chance of a degraded cable only lowering then quality of the output rather than resulting in total failiure is near impossible.
I think the meme makes more since for any digital connection, where it’s literally impossible for the cable to make a difference to the sound quality. I have seen some wacky shit online, like claims of gold plated optical audio cables.
Its actually running on AMD Epyc server hardware with dozens of cores and it’s still dying under the weight.
You’re much more likely to just restart than to shutdown and need to hit the power button. I don’t think I’ve shutdown my MacBook since I turned it on, or my Linux box either. IMO unless there’s a power outage you’ll never need to hit that button. Still dumb though but i can’t imagine this as a deal breaker.
$599 for this thing is an insane deal.
