If you want somewhere that definitely isn’t a liberal echo chamber there is always Lemmygrad. It’s so much not a liberal echo chamber that a lot of liberal instances have them blocked. It’s also awesome.
I think you don’t understand the term liberal properly though.
Considering this user made an account on lemmy.ml to post this, and the community in world was made by the same user with a world account, maybe they don’t understand the federation aspect correctly. It seems to happen a lot, and it’s frustrating because it leads to one huge instance in lemmy.world.
I prefer a lower rate of posts, it allows subscriptions to more niche communities. One of the worst things about Reddit was if you subscribed to any sub with more than 100000 members it would flood out any smaller subs, which were normally much better content wise.
Plus with a lower rate of posts, each one can receive more attention for the community. Comments can, and have, run for days on Lemmy, something that generally only happened in mega threads on Reddit.
We don’t need growth for growths sake. It is part of the reason I find the arguments for federating with Threads so weak.
Honestly I’m just using my browser and visiting the site until boost launches, I’ve had no issues so far.
It’s probably because of how overloaded Lemmy.world is. More people need to move off of it and on to smaller instances. If there was a more even distribution of instances that would also help with a more even spread of communities, and hopefully more specialised instances like star trek.website, mander.xyz and slrpnk.net
The web browser works fine for me, and then I don’t have a other app on my phone. I’ve tried a bunch of different apps, Jerboa, Liftoff, Wefwef/voyager, and connect, and I keep coming back to just viewing it in browser. Haven’t tried Sync because the idea of wilfully putting ads into a thing that doesn’t have them is disgusting to me.
