My grandmother died in a car accident in the early 70s. My mother still has her purse. In it, there is a receipt for her last rent payment (for a house, not an apartment) which was something ridiculously small, around $35. This was rural Tennessee.
Bruh, my nephew… They had to delay his circumcision because the poor guy’s member was “too small.” I tried to convince my family members that they should just not do it.
But, no. They waited until he was big enough and went ahead with the circumcision. This was only about 13 years ago.
I can just imagine my whole-ass piano glaring at me while I use my computer to play midi music!
Thanks for the reply. I might try that out.
What are you doing, though? What’s going on, on the left screen? Why do you need a virtual midi keyboard? Wouldn’t it be hard to use with a mouse? Wouldn’t assigning each piano key to a key on your physical keyboard work a little better? Or something like that.
I’m not trying to judge you, I’m just stupid.
Different use cases! One each for: my desktop, my laptop, my home theater PC, my tablet, and my gaming handheld.
(This is a joke. But, I do use a different distro for my tablet [due to the touchscreen] and my gaming handheld.)
You can buy single pages of old books/manuscripts on auction sites for that or even much less sometimes. Maybe not the oldest available, but it’s the oldest thing I’ve ever bought. I have mine framed in the hall.
Not a single word on that list would even ping on my radar if you said it near me, except for “Masseur.” If you said “Masseur” near me, I would think “oh, fancy.” -Native English speaker from SE USA
I’ve heard electric kettles are slower here because of the limits of our electrical system. I do have a kettle for the stove, though. I also rarely drink tea.
How much RAM do the systems have? 8gb? The delay may be in the system making room in ram for the program. Win11 is so ram hungry. It’s stupid.
Disabling JavaScript through ublock origin also does the same (horrible) thing, frequently.
Your parents are there.
I believe he’s shitting off the frame.
The director was an amateur, and he didn’t align the grains of sand with the grain of the film.
I’m aware of Lemmygrad, yes. FOSS is the reason why I joined Lemmy, and I was at least mildly aware of the developers’ philosophy. I wasn’t aware they were moderating all dissent.
I mean, I mostly look at memes, so I never noticed that. And .ml stands for Mali, the country. I didn’t know it was a dual meaning acronym.
Do you care to elaborate a bit more on what you don’t like about .ml moderation? I joined Lemmy before the reddit exodus. At the time I joined, .ml was the largest instance.
I’m in a very similar boat. I’ve been telling my husband gently that almost nobody in my family makes it to 70…
