I agree about the iPhones wearing well. Folks in my family pass down their iPhones too, but the ones with Android phones don’t seem to last. The lose support so quickly it’s not even funny.
But why tho? They are going out of their way to make the data transfer slower just to artificially weaken the offering so the Pro looks better. It is anti-consumer and malicious.
You can run Baldurs Gate 3 on Linux. Planetside 2 works, Warframe does too, Valheim has a native Linux build, Photoshop runs in Linux using Wine, there are projects showing how to get Solidworks running in Wine.
I don’t know what Squad is and as for VR, I see instructions for SteamVR but I don’t know if that runs well or not.
I think Windows makes multiple audio input/output hard as a piracy measure and it drives me crazy as well. Perfectly good audio ruined the moment I plug my mic in. Makes it harder to game without a headset.
What’s annoying to me isn’t even a Microsoft product. Norton sends pop up’s and reminders every day by default after you purchase it and it drives me crazy.
It’s so dumb. I have the same problem. I have an iPhone and I try to get them to use Signal, but they just keep using SMS and we keep getting garbage video being sent over group text since some of the group uses Android. When I complain they start putting stuff in Google Photo Albums instead of just using a decent messenger.
This! So much this! On top of that, the amount of video YouTube processes is insanely expensive. We are talking billions of views of streaming video served instantly.
I’m the same way. I really like Premium. I would rather watch YouTube most times over Hollywood stuff.
Did you miss the part where he reposts them to signify agreement?
I’m the same way. I need spice. I love it! But I also need to taste the food. That’s the whole point of the spice!
Yeah, this is why I haven’t paid for cable TV for about a decade now. There is no way I am paying that.
Steaming is still more cost effective than cable. And most importantly, I don’t suffer through ads. I don’t pay equipment leases and fees. I watch everything on my own schedule. Cable cost me anywhere from $150 to $200 a month for my household for basic. With streaming I am paying about $45-55 a month. I only watch a limited amount of any TV anyway. I pay for YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, and 1 random. That’s it. Sometimes, that random is Peacock or Paramount or HBO Max, or Apple or whatever.
I am American and we had these in the 90s too. I wasn’t even born the the 70s and I have seen these.
I think it was in South Africa.
On my machine it doesn’t even take up the whole window. The left column is pushed out to the right, giving less space for actual content. Do they have UX engineers? This is very bad, especially when you can go to the old site and get a ton more info on one page instantly.
It’s not about the amount of money, it’s the sentiment. Putting effort towards making another person’s life harder deserves mention.
And not just any house, but a large multi-bedroom house with a yard.
They haven’t done a great job of marketing it. $100-120 a month isn’t bad and it beats the pants off of all the other satellite internet services.
