it’s all good though since i got the last laugh. they hired me to create some software for them and they ended up losing all of it when they fired me because i never checked any of the source into github and the laptop i worked from was locked & encrypted using my own account; so they ended up with nothing.

some of them called me “fabulous” loudly and in front of everyone a few times and my autistic ass genuinely thought that they were complimenting me. lol.

i didn’t realize until months afterwards that they were either trying to provoke or shame me and my only regret is that i wish i had realized what was happening at the time so that i could turn it on it’s head and do things to make them REALLY clutch their pearls.

the last time i was involved in workplace drama/gossip was disappointing; they started a rumor that i was gay which was really weak tea since i’ve been out for decades and literally had pride flags on my desk, car bumper, and around my neck; but then again, it was austin texas so i guess it’s still juicy to them despite it being the year 2020.

i would love to see this happen in reality. lol

my old email address was in the settings page, so i presumed that i had used that to sign up when i created this account and it’s probably a matter of time until mozilla’s password manager gets compromised and leaks my password, but even then i have a hard time imagining how a dark web user or my government could benefit from it.

i click the link from my email inbox; it open lemmy.ml; and then the spiny circle just keeps spinning with no feedback of anykind. i have to close the browser tab to do anything else.

a /scaled version of new comments is what i’m looking for.

some part of me hopes that microsoft will enshitify github enough to enable decentralization like this like reddit did to enable lemmy adoption and twitter did for discord adoption.

/scaled already seems to this and it helps with the posts themselves and, yes, shows posts out of chronological order; but helps a lot with seeing posts that would ordinarily get drowned out with /new.

i was proposing the same thing as /scaled, but with comments and/or votes instead of just the posts themselves since /scaled doesn’t seem to work with the comments feed.

How would you improve it?

a way to filter out posts that have no engagement or comments from others would be helpful since the larger instances flood my feed w hundreds/thousands of news links that flood out the discourse on lemmy.

adam ruins everything dedicated an episode to this and it feels like it was prompty ignored by most.
