No, no, this sounds incredible!
Honestly, I think playing it with a friend might even bump it to 8/10. I had a blast with it despite the lack of innovation and repetitiveness of the gameplay
Slow down, live in the present, and enjoy who and what I already have in my life. That includes being more forgiving to myself and others, worrying less about all of the possible things I could be doing (personally and professionally) and instead choosing one thing at a time to focus my energy on, and being more aware of my own thoughts and feelings, then expressing them in a healthy way.
Image Fight on NES. It’s a top down scrolling shooter where you fly a space ship and pick up new weapons and attachments. I was terrible at it as a kid but I loved it and kept trying to progress further. I’ve thought about picking up a copy now but just haven’t gotten around to it
Perhaps a hot take, but East of Eden was an absolute trudge to get through. I think I made it almost halfway and gave up because I was not enjoying it at all. I wasn’t sure what the main points were and there were too many details unrelated to the plot.
A less hot take, The Fountainhead was also a pain to read. It was just boring as hell and I stopped about halfway as well. I only read it because I loved Anthem and became disappointed to find out it’s only related philosophically.
I’m bringing chilli
Neat, lots more e-waste incoming
Oh that’s interesting. I started poking around with a Gameboy emulator guide implemented in Python that intended to emulate a Z80. Got any good resource recommendation in case I decide to pick this back up and inevitably get stuck?
That’s a good point. I hadn’t factored in the processor architecture at all, whoops. I’ve already got plenty of Linux experience though, so I just need to find hardware that can support a wide variety of software. Thanks for the recommendations!
Holy fucking nope. I wasn’t planning on getting Windows 11 and this serves as a great reminder to make the transition to Linux. I’ve been thinking of picking up a raspberry pi 5 as my next desktop. Anyone want to share their experiences doing something similar?
Fair enough
Oh God, I forgot about labview. Definitely wasn’t my thing
Interested in learning any languages?
I know Python well, but I could build basic things with C++ and Fortran. I use bash a lot too. I know the basics of html and css if those count. And I barely remember some stuff from Matlab

I want to like Darko US cuz their stuff has a really cool sound, but I just can’t get through even one song by them most of the time. It’s just so incredibly aggressive and heavily engineered that it’s difficult to listen to imo
Twelve Foot Ninja is fantastic. A little bit funky and weird, but still heavy, and some very positive vibes
Burning the midnight oil aye?
