Do we want the solution to be that soldiers have to consider every order given within the historical context of the time to decide the morally correct actions and do them even if it means court martial or death?

Don’t get me wrong. I’m okay for soldiers to do this in extreme examples. But I don’t think this should be the norm.

I think we should shift the focus to the leaders instead of the soldiers. They are better positioned to make these decisions and have the time to do so.

And it’s their job.

For those that don’t like to read, you don’t have to read theory. In fact, most theory is old. There are newer and better takes on these ideas. Find a good YouTube channel that goes over the ideas. I like Vaush.

If you like to read theory, go for it. But I think there are faster and easier ways to get the concepts.

I mostly agree with your post. I take exception to the barely works part. Either the code works or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t work, fix it. If it works, don’t fix it.

If you “fix” working code, you are spending time adding no value to the project. You could even argue you’re adding negative value because the people who are used to the code working the way it was now have a surprise.

The way I look at it is basically the Bible is up for interpretation. Because if you read it literally it uh… Well it’s not good.

It’s not that it isn’t spyware, it’s that all social media is. If the US had a problem with spyware, they would make a sweeping laws about spyware. Not just target one platform. This is racism pure and simple.
