When I was in high school, I excelled in math and science, so I was pushed super hard to go into engineering for college. I ended up changing majors eventually, but holy shit did I not understand just how strong the engineering school -> “defense” industry pipeline is. They recruit engineering students hard

4 days a week, 4-6 hours per day. Having a third weekend day is wonderful, and it really helps with running errands and making appointments. And I have a hard time doing anything for more than 6 hours in a day tops. Unless I’m on my meds, I’ve got about 3 hours of focus before lunch and three after, and that’s it. Despite the meme, I totally agree! Most liberals I encounter are well-intentioned, but have been indoctrinated into thinking that capitalism is the best system we have available. Being patient and answering questions that explain what you actually believe, not what they’ve been told you believe, goes a long way. That said, being patient like that definitely a skill that is not always easy to get right, and certainly takes practice.
