I host my own Tiny Tiny RSS (TT-RSS), but I’ve used the public instance of CommaFeed too, many years ago, before I started selfhosting.
I really like TT-RSS, especially with my own theme I made, but the container image I’m using now is outdated and has some problems, and if I want to upgrade I’ll have to switch image to the official one, and I won’t be able to simply migrate my data over, as TT-RSS has since dropped support for MySQL completely, so I’m considering just hosting Commafeed instead (since I have to start fresh anyway).
I prefer RSS readers that feel a bit like Google Reader (R.I.P. - Gone but not forgotten)
“I was there, Gandalf. I was there 3000 years ago.”
Didn’t Mac use just CR line endings at some point?
I selfhost Tiny Tiny RSS
It does not work on my OnePlus 7 at all. If I zoom it crashes, and I have to clear the app data to get it to work again. And if I just take a normal photo it just crashes while processing.
Why switch from Gitea to Forgejo, if I may ask?
Or in America, “We’re going to sew you back up, but first, please enter credit card details and sign here regarding your payment plan”
What’s the value proposition here? Free no-questions-asked replacement if it breaks? Free upgrades when new models come out (though they have no real incentive to keep developing new “forever mice”)?
If my mice on average last, say, 6 years and cost $175 (I splurged on a high-end one last time), the subscription will have to be less than $2.40/month, and since customers absolutely hate subscriptions, especially if there’s no real benefit, probably even less than $1.50/month for most to even consider it.
In fact the Logitech mouse before my current mouse lasted 12 years and cost me $75, so that’s a max subscription cost of 50 cents/month for it to be comparable.
I’ve had about 1000+ tabs open before, but I’ve gotten better at keeping them under control. It’s very normal for me to hit a couple hundred, once in a while, though, before I go through them all and weed out the ones I’m done with. Right now I only have 24, but 19 of them are my pinned tabs that are used all the time.
Knowing is half the battle
Yeah, I don’t like Temu, and I’m sure the app is a privacy nightmare, but these claims don’t seem right. If it’s true, I’d like to see someone else verify it.
How about presenting the actual photo editing features instead of telling potential new users about the QT framework and C++ or whatever it uses? The website is peak “programmer attempting marketing”.
Really cool project, even though it has its flaws. Be prepared to search the documentation and update the configuration via the command line, as there’s no settings page in the web interface.
I had some trouble with it throwing a fatal error on URLs longer than the max filename length on my filesystem, but the author has been very responsive on GitHub. I replied to a 3-4 year old closed issue and the author opened it again and tried implementing a new fix in the dev version. I’m encountering another issue with using the dev version in my setup right now, but I think that’s being worked on.
Probably because it looks like he only speaks in anime quotes and brings his plastic replica katana (“well ackchyually, it’s a tachi, as you can see because of the way…”) when going to the mall with his mom.
Once it’s on the internet, it’ll be there till the day you die.
Unless it’s something you want to stay. Then it vanishes into the ether, and nobody seems to have it archived anywhere.
Shamelessly stolen joke. Here’s the original tweet, which I think is much better too: https://twitter.com/0xAsync/status/1607541407937339392
Or for those who don’t want to visit Twitter:
Which is why I’m not donating right now, even as a satisfied user of Firefox for 15+ years.
Targeting Taiwanese, Tibetans and Uyghurs, you say? I bet it was really difficult to figure out who’s behind it.
