  • Brazil: I am from here

Argentina (Buenos Aires): for a week when I was like 7, so I don’t remember it very well, but it was alright. It was the first time I’d ever felt temperatures lower than 10°C outside.

Never been to any country other than those. Traveling by plane is expensive and I don’t live near the Argentinian or Uruguayan border (I’m fairly sure they can be traveled between freely since they’re also in Mercosul)

Edit: also, I don’t speak any Spanish and mutual intelligibility isn’t very reliable

  • I hate those who call themselves artists when they’re just commissioning a computer to make a picture for them. I also hate it when those same people deny the unethical aspects of AI generation.

Edit: to add more, I also hate the AI images themselves. They are filling up the internet with slop. This is very annoying, and the same goes for LLMs. I don’t want to get AI generated results when I didn’t search for them specifically.

  • Here’s a very unethical linguistics experiment that I think would be interesting:

Raising a group of children completely isolated from any language, spoken or otherwise. They would not be fully isolated from people, but those people would not be able to communicate with each other in the vicinity of the children (no speaking, no gestures, etc.) Of course, to isolate them from language would mean strictly controlling their lives (very unethical). Could they communicate with each other, and maybe even develop a language?

  • Uhh, I live in the southern hemisphere and I mostly ate popsicles (not all the time, they are very sugary) and kept my ceiling fan on. I would also recommend colder and more frequent showers and drinking cold water.

Also, I guess you could try getting a fan and putting a bag of ice behind it, I do not know if that would work but someone I know did that during summer.

On an unrelated note, I probably won’t need to do absolutely anything for winter here since it doesn’t get very cold.
