Because Denmark is a democracy and the people on Greenland has voted towards independence. Denmark is not keeping them from seceding, but their economy has kept them from doing it before.
An independence referendum has not been done yet, but once they do it, Denmark will most likely accept the outcome without objections. Iceland did the same thing in 1918.
It’s not shown on the list of NATO members because it’s not a separate country. Other islands like Bornholm and Zealand are obviously also not shown, because they are Denmark. So is Greenland. They are not independent, though both Denmark and Greenland has worked towards that in many years.
Greenland was part of NATO since the beginning, and you could even argue that it was before that, because the collaboration between Denmark and USA on military control of Greenland predates NATO.
Greenland is part of NATO just the same way that all other Danish territories are.

For instance by uploading a pdf of a law and ask it to figure out how to do something totally legal and then let it show where in the law it says so. You’ll obviously still need to check that the law actually says so and that it isn’t hallucinating.
It’s usually possible to ask the AI for the sources. A proper journalist should always question the validity of their sources.

I guess it came from the physical counting in trading. Imagine counting 96 small items. It makes sense to group them into scores and then count the scores. 1 score 2 score 3 score 4 score and a half score. Then there are few remaining that didn’t fit it neatly in scores and then counted last. That’s a total of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 plus the 4 and a half scores.
First one was technically correct. The red ball balances on top of the “white ball with a blue ball on top”.

Ok, so you’d argue that by pushing the cart back, then you’re the one doing the same meaningless job for free. Good point, right?
But here’s the catch: Nobody ever needs to return a cart.
There are at least two ways to do this.
One: We can all accept that the cart doesn’t have a home to be returned to and just leave them wherever and pick them up at the same place. This is obviously the chaotic neutral way.
Two: Pack your groceries in bags in the cart after (or while) paying. When you push the cart back towards the car, you walk by the cart corral, pick up your bags and walk to the car while leaving the cart in the corral. It’s fucking magic.
He’s missing some punctuation, but the point is that the burden of proof ought to be on the people making the claim instead of as it commonly happens, that people state something wild and then spend their time arguing against the proofs against it. The secondary point is that people who do this are already blind to this, so they are basing their arguments on something that only they believe, and strongly believe without proof.
It makes discussion futile, because the people believing in random stuff are asking for evidence against something untrue that is based on something untrue which is based on something untrue. It’s 2 or more steps away from logic.
I don’t know if that made any more sense, so let’s make an allegory with math.
Let’s say a person wrongly believes that 2=3. This belief is unknown for anyone besides themselves. Based on this, they conclude that 2x3=4 and state that openly. So a sane person would argue that 2x3=6. The first person then claimss that 6 is wrong, and the second person will attempt to prove it logically. It does not matter how much proof the sane person provides of the 6 because the first person does not understand that from their belief. The 2=3 belief is never discussed, only the 6.
The result is that they will never agree.
The best way to counter this kind of stupidity is not by logical argumentation. It’s better to simply ask “why?” until the wrong person argues themselves into a position of belief, which can then be countered by a final “why?” to which they have no answer and are forced to reevaluate their belief, and hopefully come to a better one, or at least start questioning that instead.

I’ve used Connect the most. Also tried Jerboa and Voyager.
The reason is that I prefer a tiny list view with thumbnails on the right, just like old.reddit used to look and RiF could be made to look. I left Reddit due to this. When they cut off 3rd party apps like RiF, there was really no good way to view the site (in my opinion). Connect simply has the settings to make it look and behave exactly how I want it. I think Voyager can be made pretty close too. Jerboa was kind of buggy when I tried it.
I’m sure things have improved in all the apps during the last year, but I’ve stuck with Connect because it’s both stable and flexible enough. It gets frequent updates and issues are fixed quickly. I reported a bug once and the developer got it fixed within hours.
