Well, think of it as positive engagement to stop buying gasoline vehicles.
Well we either allow companies to earn a reputation (in which case those companies which helped the Nazis are permanently stained)
Or reputation decays over time (in which companies have to earn our trust every day)
Either way is valid and consistent.
IBM is evil (literally making NAZI death camps possible)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_and_the_Holocaust
If it wasn’t for IBM the Holocaust couldn’t have happened.
So morally move away from them as soon as you can justify.
The alternatives provide better support anyway
Is the best place to ask
Guess they never heard of live-bootstrap
Well my husband’s work place does audit the code they deploy but they have a big problem with contractors just downloading random shit and putting it on production systems without following proper review and in violation of policy.
The phrase fucking Deloitte is a daily occurrence.
Worst case scenario:
ls
ls (hd0,msdos1)/boot/
set root=(hd0,msdos1)
insmod normal
normal
insmod linux
linux /boot/vmlinuz-6.6.6 root=/dev/sda1
initrd /boot/initrd.img-6.6.6
boot
Or Guix
And honestly when grub is your bootloader. The only thing that you can’t fix in grub is if you forget the crypto-module and can’t do cryptomount (hd0,msdos1); insmod normal; normal
Who needs more than 8GB disk space for a Debian computer with Firefox and Chrome?
Easy make the office procedure private with the child, ask the child what answer that they want told to their parents.
No Jedi tricks as far as I am aware but damn did he figure me out fast.
Him: I can make you orgasm without touching you.
Me: bullshit, prove it
Then he proceeded to prove it and I had the best orgasm of my life; only to discover that was the worst orgasm that I would ever have with him…
bah, https://github.com/fosslinux/live-bootstrap
you don’t even need a terminal or a prompt to bootstrap every tool you need.
not exactly, as there are rust compilers like mrust that don’t actually have borrow checkers and virtually none of those safety checks actually occur and there is a question of if the gcc rust compiler would be implementing that feature into the compiler.
So, that would be an attribution failure; as it isn’t required by the language but the most popular rust compiler does include that feature.
But yes, more compilers would likely benefit the languages they support by also adopting that feature by default.
Well rust has a borrow checker which does make some memory bugs harder to create but to say that rust solved any of the known open problems in computer security. The answer is clearly no. It just copied some good ideas from ocaml into C++ and got some good marketing.
borrow checkers also already exist for C/C++/etc [just most people don’t use them]
so, slightly safer defaults than C/C++ but doesn’t contain any new/unique security magic.
50MB for a sub POSIX kernel and a shell prompt for a 50MB ISO image that has less functionality than a 4KB kernel (L4SEC) which has actual formal proofs of correctness.
Well, I guess it has Rust as a selling point but that isn’t something that should matter if the goal is real security.
neck
That is already a thing.
7% of all men will orgasm instantly if a firm pressure is applied to the back of the neck where the spine connects to the skull during sex. only 2% of women have that same biological feature.
Never Oracle
PostgreSQL is fine (or any fsf licensed Database is acceptable)
