I found YouTube impossible to use without it

I use a browser extension that is called “Comments Sidebar for YouTube”. It just puts the comments along the side instead of under the video so I can scroll through them without leaving the video. I think YouTube used to do this? I remember finding this extension to replace that function.

Voyager has the best compact mode I’ve found although the post. image preview is on the left instead of the right like on RIF. I still love the app and have been using it way more than any others.

Edit: there’s a screenshot of Voyager in my post history. It was called wefwef at the time but it’s still the same post design if you wanted to see what it looks like.

I agree, I actually think it’s kinda cute.

Agreed, I couldn’t Favorite the inbox of shared inboxes, so therefore I have to navigate down through 3 folders to get to the inbox. Also the calendar doesn’t allow for custom views, I always manually change mine to a two week view using the mini calendar on the left and the new version has nothing like that. These types of features are just stuff I find too inconvenient to live without so I quickly switched back.

Just had a flashback of Silicon Valley where the girl is spacing five times instead of pressing tab 😂. But I agree the extra space just makes the sentences easier to read for me.

I’m on the fence about this. On one hand I don’t get handed a wet plastic menu someone has just wiped off, or maybe has dried sauce on it. Also it is easier for them to add updates to their menu digitally instead of using a sharpie to cross through items and prices that no longer apply. But I also agree having to look at the whole menu on my small phone screen isn’t the best experience.

Thank you for RIF. For years I thought it was the official app. I once tried reddits official app when it was released and it was a quick “nope” back to RIF. Thanks for the years of fun.

Never tried this app for reddit but I’m having fun exploring all the new Lemmy apps. Definitely going to give this a try once it is available!
