It’s just not competitive with the quality of support on Windows. It’s bad enough, comparatively, that if you’re a heavy VR user it’s worth keeping a Windows install just for that use. There was a long post on /r/linuxgaming a few weeks back rolling up all the issues into one post, I’ll try to find it. One of the best comments in the post was by a top-ranked Beatsaber player actually; he said that latency among other things was the reason he has kept dual booting – only using Windows for VR gaming. I know that I just gave up on playing Elite: Dangerous in VR successfully because I didn’t want to fuss with dual booting.
Nope. Get fucked
No I can’t
No, if you’re going to do mental gymnastics at least have some that are in the realm of possibility.
Nope, quiet doesn’t mean silent on the context of verbal expression (saying something). Saying something at all indicates an audiblity. Even if that wasn’t the case, the second half clears this up for us if the distinction is between what is normal and “out loud,” then the only natural conclusion is that the alternative, expected method is silent and inaudible. Were this to be accurate it confounds the overall message and renders it illogical.
Be better, people.
“Saying the quiet part out loud.”
Saying things out loud is how you say them.
It’s “saying the quiet part loud.”
This is accomplished by installing spyware directly onto the device, part of a program called DROPOUTJEEP.
So, not a backdoor?
I’m curious about this one. Most people I know have used it, but eventually stopped. Journalists and public figures use it, and I think that gives it an outsized presence in our culture.
At its peak it had 70 million active users. It’s just widely used in media and press, so there’s a perception that it’s actually popular.
Absolutely not

Much more
So fucking much more
This is already trivial. Bazarr has been doing it for all my subtitles for almost a decade.
There are 1200 calories in that tray. Yes, it’s a main course for a family of 3-4 people. Put the fork down, fatass.
Makes sense, it’s only reasonable to expect economy wide reduction in tech workers and positions as the global workforce recovers from the overtraining and overhiring that was the hallmark of the 2000s and 2010s. This is a good thing, society’s responsibility is to make retraining easy and accessible for the millions of trained tech workers who represent the overage.
Looks like Sony and Panasonic are still making them. Sony will be your most likely candidate to make them basically forever: https://www.cnet.com/tech/home-entertainment/lg-one-of-the-last-holdouts-ceases-production-of-blu-ray-players/
I just looked at my nearest brick and mortar store‘a website and they have a broad selection of LG, Sony, and Panasonic Blu-ray players in stock.
User base size dictates development resources. If you want Linux mobile to be daily driveable, you do need widespread adoption.
