Some communities could be empty if no one from your instance is subscribed.
That’s how ActivityPub optimizes the running cost. Otherwise it would be to expensive for instances to download all the data.

On Mastodon in settings you need to enable your account discoverability. Otherwise people will see you only if they know about you. This is weird default and my main complain about Mastodon :(
Pick any instance that suits your interests: https://joinmastodon.org/en/servers There is also this picker.
Can’t they change this status?
I mean thanks to bridgy you can communicate across blusky and mastodon.
It requires to use a separate app like this which is not very convenient.
They usually cut costs in unnoticeable for regular consumer way. Like include some chemistry that easy to produce and makes it tasty, but bad for health.
Ah, I can do it inside the client, thank you!
How did you enable merge conflict resolution for KeePassXC databases?
People here also hate Reddit, but no one makes fun of them for it😄
Despite the platform having more users, we’re all here for a reason. So it’s no surprise to me that people hate Windows more than usual. I can’t judge them for that.
Similar to what most smartwatches can: measure heartbeat, show notifications and answer calls from your smartphone, flashlight (by showing white write screen), show weather, etc.
PineTime is nice, wearing it right now.
Of course! I was just joking.
Can’t wait to review PRs from my Mastodon or Lemmy account 😁
Are there plans for it? Sounds awesome!
Why did half the world decide SMS needed to be replaced with a proprietary app
SMS is even worse in terms of openness. You won’t find a modem that runs open source baseband firmware. It’s because the radios are subject to several regulations which means customers can’t be able to modify that firmware.
Ah, you probably right, I think it’s more common.
I personally run ArchLinux on my PinePhone.
I think when people say “Linux phone” they mean GNU/Linux.
What do you use to browse Lemmy?
HotA is awesome!
But the best way to play it is to use VCMI. It’s an open source re-implementation of the original game for the modern hardware. It also have a built-in launcher which asks you automatically download HotA or WoG after the first start. You can also install other mods from it. So convenient.
Yep, and for anyone who curious why it’s not actually decentralized, I highly suggest to read this thread from someone who worked on ActivityPub:
