Not even in Ghostbusters?
I’ve ridden coast to coast across the US a number of times with just the things I can fit on the bike and camping wherever I can find a spot. It’s definitely worth it and you can do it on almost any bike so it doesn’t need to be crazy expensive either!
I will definitely admit to speaking loudly (even other Americans say I’m loud) and being super talkative. I can see how being loud might be annoying, but it seems like the local population of Iceland has a pretty good solution for dealing with overly talkative Americans which is to just not engage by being polite and respectful but very curt.
I noticed the same thing. Leading up to this trip everything I read made me believe that the local population loved tourists but I don’t think that’s actually true.
Tourism is a huge part of their economy so on a macro level it’s great for their economy but on an individual level it seems like many hate having such a huge number of tourists. I don’t know if that’s true for tourists from all countries though.
In Iceland there are plenty of awful non-American tourists too. In Canada and Alaska I encountered bad Canadian tourists. It sounds like you just don’t like Americans.
I’m wondering the same thing. Just adding the gif directly to a post doesn’t work with the expando, though it does work if the reader clicks through to just thr gif. When I post on lemmynsfw, redgifs works with the expando but the gif only plays once instead of looping. Playing once is fine for longer gifs but for short gifs it would be better if it looped endlessly IMO.
It also requires a proprietary charger and has a non-replaceable battery.
Not necessarily, anytime it was on it would update the ddns service with the correct IP address. As far as I’m aware, your dynamic IP doesn’t change too frequently. There would be some downtime if your ISP assigned you a new dynamic IP while the machine was powered down but it would correct itself as soon as the machine came online again.
I’m not an expert but I think this is accurate.
Edit: Does Synology have a ddns app? Or is it possible to install a ddns service via the command line? It would be cool if the NAS could send the update!
You can run a DDNS service on a machine within the network if your router doesn’t have the configuration available.
I just drove to Alaska and back by way of the Alaska highway through Canada in a Ford van. The road is pretty destroyed for about 300 miles around the border of Alaska and Canada. Huge potholes, massive hills, sections of road that have collapsed, wildlife, dirt and gravel sections, massive cliffs, and twisty roads all while traffic is moving at 55-70ish mph.
I live in a van and I use Starlink daily when I’m somewhere without cell service.
I’m into it!
I know right? It’s a simple request!
Lol not a single one.
Because I’m really hoping this works.
This is a very intelligent response. I’d also add that people are smart in different ways. I met a dude who is a flat earther which is pretty dumb in my opinion but he knew a lot of disc golf technique and could talk intelligently about music all day.
