No problem! As far as graphics go, if you open source then you can specify in your repo’s Readme what parts are under what license.

“All html, Javascript, css are licensed under XYZ”

“All graphics/images used with permission by ABC for exclusive use within this project”

It isn’t particularly uncommon, and you could even list out specific graphics under what license, or structure them in the repository based on license /assets/licenseName if needed

Imo skip the open source license. You’re wanting to give this specific organization access to your work. If you follow the suggestions here and license it under creative commons or some other open source license then you’re also opening the door for others to use that work. It would be better to give the organization use of your work in its current form but otherwise reserve all rights for yourself, via a custom (non open source) license. This way in the future you can continue doing whatever you want with it, and maybe that means open sourcing when you’re ready to do so.

Ofc if you’re ready to open source now then go for it.

Being Mormon.

They always told us that people who gave us anti-mormon literature just made stuff up and it was Satan’s way of tempting us. They said to never take any anti-mormon literature and if someone did give it to you then to throw it away without reading.

But at the same time they taught us that the Mormon church was the true church. And they also taught us truth was absolute. Well, i figured if truth is absolute, and if the church was THE true church then it would be able to withstand any criticism. So i read anti mormon literature, like the CES letter. From there i did my own research about various things and found that the Mormon church made up a lot of stuff and did lots of gaslighting.

There was some specific issues that i also had been struggling with, like their treatment of women, gays, and black men/women. That also helped push me to want to make sure if the Mormon church was really true. And it wasn’t. Now i can love my friends unconditionally.

Not everyone has the luxury of choosing where they work. People need to eat. Are some people complacent? Sure. But that doesnt mean every person working at Microsoft is a horrible person.

I only skimmed it but didn’t see this: part of the issue was that forums were prone to be shut down completely, or lose user data when migrating to a different forum system. It made it hard for you to have a repository of knowledge on a topic/ hobby when it could just disappear. Reddit/ Facebook/ discord promised an easier way for organizers to set up their communities, and community members had more trust that these new communities weren’t going to go anywhere.

I just returned it, but my idea was a separate VLAN and block all connections except for whitelisted ones for streaming. Smart tvs/rokus/etc do a lot of talking and they could theoretically brick themselves if there isn’t an internet connection available.

That’s what we were doing. It can still happen. If the item isn’t received back by Amazon for some reason then they charge you for the product again, even if 6+ months later.

Ive had this happen a few times. It goes something like this:

• i buy product and initiate return
• i ship item with return label
• as soon as return label is scanned then amazon will release the funds back to me
• if for some reason they don’t get that package then they say they didn’t get the item back and take the funds back. When this has happened to me it has been 6+ months later
• when i asked amazon about it they just tell me they didn’t get it back. I tell them i have the shipping confirmation receipt and that this is someone else’s problem and not mine.
• there’s a lot of back and forth and eventually they act like they’re doing me a favor by giving me my money back

I think the problem was one of the drop off locations we used was stealing products, or just straight up losing them. But it is insane to me that amazon comes back 6 months later. The only thing worse than buying a broken dildo on amazon is returning the broken dildo and still getting charged for it. Getting fucked by the broken dildo twice and not in the ways i had hoped!

You can also block calls from unrecognized numbers. Doesn’t stop them from being able to leave a voicemail though which is both good and bad

From that screen-> three dots -> settings -> blocked numbers -> block calls from unknown numbers.
