It used to be spelt “coronnel” in Old French and we took that pronunciation, but then we also took the updated french word “colonel” but kept the old pronunciation.

It’s mostly places that carry the sound from old Spanish, as most old Spanish words with X’s changed to J’s.

Yes it’s a status thing and I’m aware of people who have been rejected on dates for having an Android.
One feature I’m hearing about it this algorithm called scaling sort and apparently it’s supposed to boost smaller community posts up more. I was just curious as to how it works internally.
Can somebody explain what this scaling sort thing is to me? I’ve heard it a lot, but I don’t know exactly what it does.
