Lots of things already mentioned, but to add: Be careful playing certain sports. Damaging your joints frequently can also lead to osteo arthritis or make it appear earlier.

I do and it’s not even my native language. Even words like there, their, were, where, than and then, i have no issues with. One thing that does confuse me is with names, because that is used differently than my european country.
Greeting people or goodbye’s. Please don’t touch me, unless you are my child or pet. I was hoping the new covid habits of not shaking hands or hugging would become permanent, but it’s back again. And i still have this reflex of shaking hands, instead of keeping my hands in my pocket.
Yes, because who wouldn’t want to live for centuries amidst floods, fire, raging mad politicians and greedy billionaires…
You already got some great tips, but i wanted to caution you about the bite. If it left a wound, particularly a deep puncture wound, maybe visit the doctor. Cat bites are notorious and can be very dangerous.
Great, then it will starts actually making pizzas filled with glue
That i had beautiful eye brows. Didn’t see that coming

With our european housing market, that old lady or man might not even be able to move to a smaller size, even if they wanted to. Or, they might have a ton of kids and grand kids sleep overs, or kids that need to move back (happens a lot in our country) because they cannot find a place to live, so i generally try to be careful not to assume things when i don’t know details. It’s something that is basically the fault of our politicians, who could see this problem coming decades ago, but decided not to act. It’s not always the fault of people that are stuck in a house that became too big and can’t move because there just is no smaller appartment available, but the people who voted for politicians who let buildings be bought up by greedy investors. Edit to clarify my agreeing with your points
The first Friday the thirteenth when i was 15 or so. My parents didn’t even allow me to watch the news or any movies aside from a few cartoons, so i was shocked.
Which they would undoubtedly let the customer pay for when buying their clothes
I love my asics. I can walk longer now, and with way less pain in joints like hips, knees and feet. I really learned that wearing good shoes can make a big difference
Star Wars
Exactly; if Usually, it takes years, if not decades, before laws and regulations are actually in place
And now for 50 years worth of security updates for a phone like that. Not to mention what people might do with throwing a phone in the trash or something

I use https://chat.petals.dev/ I think that is also open source
Know that not everyone is like this, but it seems that the type of people you describe are the biggest shouters. There are people who have been fighting against climate change and ‘the establishment’ since the seventies or earlier, who do their best to always patiently continue to vote instead of giving up and not voting at all, who still join protests, discuss their views in the hopes of changing the perspectives of others. But they usually are just not the people who catch your eye. I’m a lot older than you, and i also still try to write to companies (sometimes even successfully change their product which is very encouraging), sign petitions, donate to certain causes, vote, answer questions when people ask for my opinion. I always was a bit of a rebel and i know of others who are too. I know that i am not alone in this. I was inspired by those lone rangers in the seventies who were already fighting against climate change, even though i don’t know their names. They were usually portrayed in the media as the exaggerating crazies or hippies. But i’m not ‘in your face’ about it and i will only discuss things when other people approach me and ask me something. This takes away some of the hostility of other people who tend to feel attacked when i do things differently than they do. I always knew that i was never alone in my views. I might not know most of them but i know they exist. They always have. It might feel like you are alone, but you never are. And i feel like i do have a certain influence on my own personal environment. It makes some people think about certain things. They might even change, if only a little. At the very least, they now know from personal experience a person like me and can use my existence in conversations about certain topics, just as i could use those anonymous strangers who were putting up a fight in the seventies.
There is a - pretty dead - community, but maybe some of you could revive it: !coolwebsites@lemmy.ca
Two and a half day for a fast. I don’t count being ill, like a flu
