This might be the least self aware post on the Internet.
I have a Bluesky account where I post art: @9whiteteeth.bsky.social
Or on Pixelfed: https://pixelfed.social/Monstrosity

Omg it’s like watching someone trying to reason with an arrogant brick wall that craps its own pants.
Go to bed, bro.
Krita, motherfuckers. Do you use it?
People use Vim to look cool?
It’s a brave new World.
If you haven’t already, try Flatseal, it’s a gui to deal w/ Flatpak permission (such a PITA).
The last time I broke my system, it was because I removed a folder called /home/monstrosity/home/monstrosity/.
When I deleted the weird duplicate home folder, it broke the entire desktop environment & I had to use the terminal to log in and reinstall. I have no idea which of my numerous ‘fucking around’ sessions caused any of it lol
Absolutely! I never break my system the same way twice.
I might recommend PopOs. It is also based on Ubuntu, is easy to use for beginners & tailored specifically for use with Nvidia. I’ve had great luck w/ my laptop that has Optimus.
Test it with a USB first. The link I provided is an alpha version of their latest release but you can also try the older, more stable version here.
Red Reader is adless & open source.
Also no account needed (for read only, obvs).
Because Windows hides its (ugly ass) terminal in shame so the user never has to see its putrid face.
Linux encourages terminal use, including it as one of the base starting icons in most distros.
That’s my guess, anyways.
I’m not in tech at all, I’ve just learned to use my operating system over time. It’s really not that hard & now I prefer command line sometimes b/c it’s just faster.
What’s really weird is your complete aversion to learning a new utility & your bizarre shaming of people for being knowledgeable about their tools.
I have fixed loads & loads of issues via cli. I don’t even know what the hell you’re on about. Sounds like a skill issue, tbh.
The command line allows people to help troubleshoot problems across Linux dostros without everyone’s desktop having to look exactly the same.
Stop whining, you ninnies, it’s a good thing!
Totally. When I have parties, everyone dances to the sound of one guy telling jokes while another guy laughs hysterically like someone trying to impress their boss on the golf course.
I mean, I suppose I use Gimp as well, but it’s never the first tool I reach for.
I read a comment somewhere that said Gimp is designed for programmers & Krita is designed for artists & I feel like that’s pretty accurate.
Look, I appreciate Gimp, but until its selection algorithm, which is straight up ass, gets fixed, Krita will be a better tool for artists.
I’m completely familiar with fzf!
I also generally tap in the first few letters of a command then use pgUp (on my system) to autocomplete. Or use the ol’ !<command#>.
But I have somehow never friggin heard about Ctrl+r.
But that’s why I love tldr!
It gives written examples of a handful of the most common use cases with a super brief explanation. It’s perfect for quick reference.
But you do you, I don’t own any tldr stock or anything.
Go to a free online AI (or run one locally) and ask it your Linux questions.
That way you won’t have to dig around old forums for answers.
Install tldr if you haven’t already
This is what we’re dealing with here in the States, folks.
Gawd help us.
