Love the culture series! Communism… In space!!! Though I’d say to anyone who hasn’t read them yet to skip the first and come back to it. It’s a great novel, but it smells like the 80’s. Was my first read in the series and it turned me off to the rest of them until years later when I have the series another chance
It’s a balancing act with no clear one size answer. Can’t fix stupid, nor can you teach wisdom. There’s definitely situations where I’d want someone older in charge, cooler heads and all that.
I think when you see a rigid seniority system in place, it’s usually a stand in for a more equitable solution. Sometimes the argument over who gets precedent isn’t worth the trouble, and it’s easier to just say fuck it and go by seniority. Less fair than some methods, fairer than a lot though too.
Rice vinegar makes a great condiment. It’s much sweeter and less pungent than most other vinegars. If you’re making a sandwich right, it’s half salad. Dress those greens with some rice vinegar!
Slice up some cucumber, some onion, dress it in rice vinegar and stick it in the fridge overnight. Great on salad, on toast, anything really. I’ve even diced it up good into a relish and put it(cold) on pizza.

Ya the thumb drive was a tripping point for me. Took me a minute to understand I had to reformat the drive itself. I also didn’t try to partition anything.
I switched to Linux mint because I don’t want to think about those things. I barely know how to use the terminal, and probably won’t anytime soon. I just pulled the apps I needed off the software manager. I’m as happy as a clam in shit.
An OS that just works, without the constant bullshit that capitalism breeds always encroaching. It does what I want when I want it, no more no less.

Granting forgiveness isn’t about them, it’s about you letting go of the hurt. It doesn’t mean things necessarily just go back to the way they were, it means things can move onto the next thing. It’s about taking that weight off your soul.
I see a lot of people letting their trauma define them. Let the shit drop and grow flowers. Easier said than done, but I think it’s still easier than not doing it.

As for boxing and wrestling in particular I have no idea. But I’d just point out wearing a well fitting suit of fine clothes is its own reward. Even if you just get thrift store hand me downs, tailoring is surprisingly affordable. Few things feel as good as a well cut suit!
