I bet they would drop something on us on the way out too. An asteroid or similar.
Maybe if more groups did it, the process would be easier. Like there would be standard processes and consultants that have done it before.
I had no idea. Thank you.
I have found there are some local potters making things in Minnesota at a middle scale. I have not checked if all my plates could come from them (I am not in the market for new ceramics.)
This is a great idea as they can last decades, so the cost matters less.
There are areas they farm trees for paper. ( I hope few companies are cutting down natural forests for paper.)
Baby formula.
If every community makes some, nation wide shortages may be less likely.
If the ownership are local, then irrate parents can punch them. This will avoid issues with quality.
If all producers are small, regulators can shut down bad actors. Currently, the big players get warnings (in some countries.)

I hate modern AI, but that is what we need it for. Maintaining old code bases, and not turning it into a text editor/AI API (unless that was the original intention).
Edit: I have to add more words. Maintaining code bases includes compling and testing the code on a variety of hardware. Running tests against that code. Responding to questions. It is a massive amount of work.

Other options are LUKS with Tang and Clevis, or LUKS with SSH and Dropbear.
Sorry, I have no details.
Edit: Tang/Clevis are local software and a network server that provide keys. If stolen, won’t boot.
SSH and Dropbear make it so you can login to provide keys.
There are articles from before the automobile discussing the pollution problems with horses. Apparently horses poop, a lot.
A person does not need to point out all problems when pointing out one problem.
Could running a VM help me organise my computer better?
No more than extra boxes will make your physical things more organized. In fact, I think it will make things worse.

Folders are great though.
