  • If you are moving abroad for the first time I highly recommend reading / looking for resources about culture shock.

    You will have it. It’s easier to deal with it if you know and understand it and ways to mitigate the feeling.

    And in Germany - if you plan to stay for years - you should definitely learn the language. Germany is beautiful and a lot of folks speak English but if you truly want to feel at home, get friends and not break down at some point due to culture shock then take effort in learning about the culture and why they are the way they are.

    And oh do try my favourite dish: Käsespätzle!
