Come on OP, you are better than this. This is just a distasteful post.
I am but a cog in a machine. A lazy one though.

Sorry can’t open the link; It requires reddit PRO /s
This has got to be the shittiest post.
You better Apology,
Maybe that was the one I’ve originally seen. Not sure which one :D
My experience with German programming languages is with Siemens PLC’s, since the programming language changes together with the IDE when you set the language to German. Looking at Structured Text / Instruction List having U (und) instead of A (and) operator and bunch of other things was interesting.
But IIRC there were also higher programming languages that are in other languages? Wasn’t there one for arabic? Was this it: https://github.com/nasser/---/
The irony. I believe this tweet gave Signal a huge international boost.
If you are moving abroad for the first time I highly recommend reading / looking for resources about culture shock.
You will have it. It’s easier to deal with it if you know and understand it and ways to mitigate the feeling.
And in Germany - if you plan to stay for years - you should definitely learn the language. Germany is beautiful and a lot of folks speak English but if you truly want to feel at home, get friends and not break down at some point due to culture shock then take effort in learning about the culture and why they are the way they are.
And oh do try my favourite dish: Käsespätzle!
Yeah I assumed old info as well. And with electronjs allowing web apps to run as native apps I also have suspicions that the version between web and native is going to blur out with MS apps.
I am so hyped for Libre software. Inkscape is another amazing software that has come a long way recently.
Okay yeah thought I misunderstood something. Thanks!
The article says that other office apps can only do collaborative document work in their browser versions, but I thought Word can do it natively as long as the document is in OneDrive/Sharepoint/whatever microsoft came up with next?
I recall opening a shared document locally with Word and being able to collaborate.
Nevertheless, amazing news for Libre software!
Same. I constantly see these posts complaining about their feed and am just wondering why don’t you guys use /subscribed instead of /all.
Checkout https://lemmyverse.net/communities or something and tailor your feed. Don’t browse /all the entire week.
A better way is to use !communitypromo@lemmy.ca or !newcommunities@lemmy.world if you don’t want to browse /all.
Community promo has new posts for “old” communities that you might have missed every once in a while too.
I think some of the great ones people are mentioning here can be found on !bestoflemmy@lemmy.world
Edit: yeah there is an awesome index of the poop challenge + memes in this post: https://sopuli.xyz/post/915164
Edit 2: damnit the poop posts were deleted… But the memes are there
I’d answer you with a copypasta if I could just remember which one was the one with arch superiority but replace everything with mint :(
Great idea, hope we get community user tags in lemmy!
Yes Gowron! Finally!
It will be glorious! I have to give lemmy and Valve a lot of credit for this. Made the move half a year ago and honestly it has been such a fresh breath of (minty) air.
Just saw a big article on a major local news paper about support for Windows 10 ending soon and they mentioned linux mint as an alternative for most people who simply only use their browser on a PC since that is what a big portion of people actully do on a PC.
ah yes finally! can we start saying “I use Mint btw”?
Because I use Mint, btw.
Well, atleast they explained how they “fixed” the problem.
Got to love those “all good, problem solved/went away” - posted 5 years ago
