thats what RES does-reddit enhancement suite on firefox. I combine that with adblock, ublock too. I go out of my way to make sure I mever see any ads anywhere I go, usually reddit/youtube.

I came here after they banned third party apps. No way I’m browsing with ads on their shitty app. RES still works fortunately but I’ve grown to really like it here. Haven’t touched reddit in a year or so.

I can’t remember the last time a movie came out that made me want to go see in theatres. Tickets are so expensive that I only want to go to one or two movies a year. Then with TV I find every show these days has “netflix syndrome” with lazy writing, exposition dumps, dummed down dialogue, I’m just not interested in what they have to offer most of the time.

I use it for school. I’m in different groups and I need to use it for chat, file and image sharing on different projects and its an absolute nightmare trying to keep track of channels, I’d rather use literally any other software to accomplish this task. Most of us just jump on discord and use that.

I cant stand anything microsoft anymore. Teams, outlook, word, every iteration just makes me more angry.

Its improving over time, I think it’ll find a decent grove as more communities pop up. I find the comment sections really engaging too I’ve had some solid conversations over here.

I’m glad I jumped ship back during the ban on 3rd party apps. That was it for me.

I’m friends with one guy who’s got an axolotl and another who’s got one of those African grey parrots. Both really cool animals. Also knew a kid back in school that had a pet squirrel.

I consider the internet unusable without an ad blocker, ESPECIALLY youtube. I can’t imagine life without it. It would be like camping without a tent, I guess I could get by but it can really suck depending on where you go.

I would fully expect to get made fun of if I said something funny by accident in a different language. I’ve had that happen when I tried speaking Thai in thailand and spanish in south america and you know what? It is funny! They explain why its funny and everyone has a good laugh and I learned something! Thats how I found out the double meaning of caliente! Languages are hard and sometimes the mistakes happen to be hilarious, its not punching down. I probably sound ridiculous to a native speaker but at least I know that and I’m making an effort.

I saw an ULTP a while back about making your font colour the same as the paper/background (white) and spamming a bunch of key words and skills that the AI is looking for to get your resume sorted to the top of the pile. I’ve considered doing that but I already have a good resume for my field.
