I always enjoy a monkey’s paw type deal. I hope your players enjoy discovering how it all goes wrong.

Don’t leave us in suspense like that, what’s going to happen with the wonder?
This sounds like an amazing project and a great way to spend time with your kid. Good for you.
Yeah exactly. I had the show in a window floating over part of the ship inside VR. Think about where the centre console would be in a car. It was a really cool experience, flying my space ship whilst watching a program.
Elite Dangerous is perfect to play with a show on. I used to do window in window in VR whilst flying between sites.
This was going to be my suggestion. Big stone writing. Do something like the Rosetta stone with multiple languages saying the same thing, for future translation, and then keep it somewhere safe like a large cave.
I’ve been going with “surviving” for the last year or so. It’s about as good as I can confess to myself most days. I agree with you in that “good thanks”, you? Feels you close to lying for my morals on my bad days.
I don’t have any issues with them. What I do take issue with is companies enforcing them with the assumption being you will use your own mobile device to authenticate for them. I feel like it’s not worth the stink to complain but both places I work for require 2fa now and I need the authenticator app or get a message to my phone.
Mortality is a hard thing to get your head around. Try to not let it take over and keep doing the things you enjoy. Talk to some friends about it all. That should help get some perspectives. Don’t be afraid of going to sleep. Sleep is cozy and good for you.
If there is"no point" then the point is to do the most good and have the most fun whilst you can.
I work in healthcare and often talk to people and families about the dying process. We tell people that dying is a lot like falling asleep and that hearing is the last sense to go. So even if they aren’t awake and interacting anymore they are still aware of the people around them.
To me, dying is part of life, it’s the big unknown. Everyone dies, you can’t change that. What we can do is accept it and make the best life we can with the time we have. The point is enjoying the now. For me I focus on spending time with my wife and doing what good in the world I can do. I work with dying people a lot and if I can make even a few minutes of their time better I’ve made a difference that was worthwhile.
The general measures of things like this are: is it causing a negative effect on you or others?
In a similar vein to pooping some people do every day, some twice or more, some a couple times per week. There’s a range of normal. If it’s not bothering you or anyone else it’s probably fine. (Though see your Dr if you only poop once a week, something’s weird there).
Buy micro to c converter and leave it plugged into the headset. Then you can keep the headset and charge it with whatever you got to hand.
It’s basically just the south of France so kinda doable.
Depends if we can shop. We’ve got a couple weeks of canned food longer in rice and pasta and a gas hob so cooking isn’t a problem. Could work through the fridge and freezer in a week before it all went off. Got plenty of books, boardgames and camping gear so we’d be able to keep warm and entertained. I need to get some more solar options ideally some big panels for the roof. Our heating is gas but I suspect that it wouldn’t work without electricity. Luckily our living room has a gas fire.
I love this game, still got it downloaded on my phone. Really makes you think.
Vaping is safer than cigarettes, it’s still bad and we don’t know how bad it is long term but it is safer than smoking. It’s better to just stop completely using a stop smoking service to get alternative nicotine products if that’s available. If the person doesn’t want to stop then you’re unlikely to be able to make them however a vape might be able to replace it with something better. Other products to look at are patches, gum, lozenges and inhalators which can be useful in quitting.
In summary smoking and vaping are both bad but smoking is worse. Better off just quitting if possible, if not go for the vape.
Of course you can, I just really like the ritual with the brush and soap.
I love my safety razor. The ritual of shaving is soo much better with a brush and soap bowl rather than squirty cream from a can.
It’s a learned skill though and does take practice, I recommend the book Leisureguys guide to Gourmet shaving.
Get a multi pack of blades and work out which ones you like best.
Do you have a favourite song or band?
Yup yup. This is perfect. Sends me right to sleep.
