Seriously, how’d Omegle continue operating? It was so blatantly brimming with sexual predators that a nine stroking dick streak was the low end for an hour of chats.

Frankly this is the first I’m hearing it was still around. I assumed it had shut down years ago.

That’s a dangerous niche to operate in. It’s a userbase that wants pure freedom and randomness. But as a business you can’t have middle-aged men trying to see underaged girls naked. As a teen I frequented Omegle and Chatroulette but we’re well past the Wild West days of the web

      https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/lifestyle/hobbiesandactivities/887786/omegle-shuts-down-after-14-years/story/

Omegle is a site where people talk to strangers. Closed down after 14 years.

I used to use Omegle, that’s so sad. I saw a few years ago they turned to a more closed off model whereas it used to be more open and random. Maybe that had something to do with it

Turns out there was one social platform with a conscience. It’s closed now. Normal business resumes.

I mean i don’t know if I’d describe a platform where perverts jerk off in front of kids as one with conscience but it’s 2023

From what I read it wasn’t its original purpose. But the closing part was probably the conscience I inferred. I never used it personally I had to click the link to work out what it was.

It’s 2023 like you said, if we had a conscience we would cut the cables making the internet
