    What often does come up is the negativity towards Rust. It’s good to see that there are voices in the kernel maintainers list that do support rust. See quotes on the FOSDEM slides 45-85. It is unfortunate that the naysayers have been able to drive away at least 2 great contributors. Maybe we do like focusing on the negatives around here too much, because the R4L project is still alive.

        Nothing, he’s probably a C/C++ dev who, like the C/C++ kernel maintainers themselves, doesn’t want to change/isn’t ready to move on
